Pia Kåll is the CEO of CapMan Plc, a pioneering Nordic private asset specialist established in 1989. CapMan has EUR 5bn assets under management and invests in the lower mid-market with strategies covering real estate, infrastructure, private equity and credit.
Pia has been the CEO of CapMan since 2023, she joined CapMan Buyout in 2016 and during 2017-2023 she was the Managing Partner heading the Buyout investment team. Before joining CapMan Pia was a member of the Executive Board of Outotec and held the position of Senior Vice President Strategy, Marketing and Operational Excellence. Outotec (later merged with Metso) was a listed company offering minerals and metals processing technology to the mining industry globally, with a revenue of 1,5-2 bn EUR and around 5000 employees. Prior to Outotec Pia was an Associate Principal at McKinsey&Company.
Pia holds a M.Sc. (Eng.) in Engineering Physics and Mathematics.
Frederique is a member of Deloitte’s financial advisory committee and a partner in its M&A Transaction Services department in Paris. She has over 20 years’ M&A experience at Deloitte, which includes a three-year stint in New York. A specialist in financial due diligence, she advises buy-side and sell-side clients on complex negotiations, from carveouts to price and contract negotiation
Julien-David joined IRIS as Principal in 2013. He became Partner in 2016 and Managing Partner in 2019 and is responsible for early-stage investments in France and Germany, with a focused interest in AI, deep tech, and industry 4.0.
Prior to joining IRIS, he launched and grew the European activities of Apperian, an American start-up that develops and markets a cloud-based mobile application management platform.
Julien-David has extensive experience in tech and telecoms. He started his career in the United States, leading business development for Orange, the French telecommunications company. He went on to lead the negotiations for the strategic partnerships between Orange and key network vendors before helming the company’s portfolio of fixed and mobile devices for B2C and B2B markets worldwide, contributing to the establishment of BuyIn, Orange and Deutsche Telecom’s joint venture.
He invested in and supported companies such as Shift Technology, Exotec, LeanIX, Mailjet, Spinergie, Monk, Staffbase or Escape.
Julien-David holds a master’s degree in Digital Telecommunications, Fluid Dynamics and Electronic from the École Polytechnique (Paris, France) and a master’s degree in Computer science from Telecom ParisTech (Paris, France).
Jean-Philippe Debas is the CEO of Equalis Capital, the leading French General Partner in the field of employee ownership with c. 100 employee-owned funds (FCPE – Fonds commun de placement d’entreprise) under management.
Prior to founding Equalis Capital he was managing director in m&a at Aforge Finance (now Degroof Petercam).
